Preparing For Your Bridal Appointment: Our Top Tips
There’s a lot to do in the run-up to your big day, but booking a bridal appointment with us will make the process of finding your dream wedding gown a breeze!
We recommend you start looking for your dress around 9 months to a year before your big day. This will ensure your wedding gown arrives in plenty of time and that our talented seamstress has enough time to work her magic.
In our experience, bringing two or three of your nearest and dearest is the perfect amount. We highly recommend bringing only people whose opinion you truly value! If you simply can't decide who to bring and would prefer a larger party, why not book our VIP Evening Package where you will have the entire boutique to yourselves as well as bubbly and canapes. It’s a real treat!
You don't need to bring anything special for your first appointment - just yourselves. There’s no need to worry about shoes or underwear just yet, as this is only important when you go for your fittings with our in-house seamstress.

It’s great to come to your bridal appointment with a clear idea of the style of dress you’re looking for, but sometimes it’s best to come with an open mind!
Why not try something completely different? Often our brides end up choosing a style that’s the complete opposite of what they expected… this is our favourite part!
Expert Styling Advice
Our team of highly-trained bridal stylists will not only help you to find your dream dress, but also to put together your complete look.
From tiaras and veils to belts and shoes, our girls will make you feel beautiful and at ease!
With a whole 90 minutes, you’ll have plenty of time to try on a selection of gorgeous gowns along with our stunning array of bridal accessories.
You’ve Said Yes To The Dress
Congratulations, you’ve found The One!
After enjoying a celebratory glass of bubbly and taking your measurements, it just takes a 50% deposit to place your order. Then relax, the rest is down to us.
Your Fitting With Our Seamstress
Around six to seven months later your beautiful dress will have arrived with us in the boutique. This is your chance to book an appointment with our extremely talented seamstress, Helen.
Your Dress Arrives
Up until your first fitting we can store your gown in the boutique indefinitely, for a small fee of £50.00. Alternatively, you can collect your gown within 2 weeks of it arriving.
Alterations usually begin two months before your big day. Depending on the amount of work needed, you can expect to have around two or three fittings.
This is also the time to have your shoes as Helen will need the height of your heel to take up the length or your gown.
Your final fitting is the most exciting part - this is your chance to see your wedding gown at its finest, sculpted to perfection and ready for your big day!
Do I need to book an appointment?
The best way for us to guarantee every single bride the very best experience in our boutique is via booking an appointment in advance. This enables us to ensure we have enough bridal specialists available, to give you the excellent service we are renowned for!
Do you charge for appointments?
Unlike many other bridal boutiques we do not charge for our weekday appointments.
Saturdays are particularly busy however, so you might want to think about visiting us during the week instead. If you would like to visit us on a weekday, there is no charge for your appointment. During the week we’re open 9.30 to 5.30 with our last appointment starting at 3.30.
There is a booking fee of £25 for a Saturday appointment, which is redeemable when you purchase your gown from us.
We can open on Sundays if we are not attending a wedding fayre, and subject to availability. Sunday appointments are also £25.00.
Please have your credit card available when we call you to confirm your appointment.
Who can come with me on the day?
We are lucky in that we have a very large boutique so can easily accommodate brides and their parties.
We do ask you to let us know if there will be more than 4 of you though so we can just ensure there is enough room for all our brides to be to be comfortable.
Do you offer exclusive appointments?
Do you have a cancellation policy for appointments?
Appointments that require payment (such as Saturday and VIP appointments) have a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 72 hours of the appointment, we reserve the right to charge the full booking fee to your credit card.
