The Most Asked Wedding Dress Question…
What will Meghan Markle be wearing?
A royal wedding always creates an air of anticipation and excitement and Meghan and Harry’s wedding is no different. But the big question will be what style will she go for? It’s tempting to predict that she’ll steer clear of anything that looks too like Kate’s – her soon to be sister in law. Kate’s show-stopping, the iconic dress has inspired hundreds of replicas and has even made sleeves popular again. Its vintage lace and stunning attention to detail were some of the eye-catching features that made the dress so beautiful.
Meghan’s style is contemporary and unique so a nod to Harry’s mother, Diana seems unlikely too. Diana’s dress was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who described it as a dress that “had to be something that was going to go down in history, but also something that Diana loved”! Diana’s ivory silk taffeta and antique lace gown with a 25-foot train has become one of the most famous dresses in the world.
Harry’s cousin, Zara’s dress maybe closer to the mark. She married Mike Tindall in an ivory silk faille and silk duchess satin gown by designer Stewart Parvin. The drop-waist pleated bodice, which concealed a corset, flowed into a full skirt complete with train. Zara the ever-functional bride, had hidden pockets in her skirt, too.

Yvonne Yue, head designer at Ashley & Justin Brides, comments:
Meghan is a modern woman who exudes an effortless understated elegance. Her aesthetic embraces classically tailored silhouettes with a bit of whimsy. This fetching portrait neckline featuring a waist-cinching corseted bodice of double-faced silk satin combined with a classically grand ball gown skirt of embellished English net – meticulously framed with luxurious lace details sets the tone for this splendid royal occasion – picture perfect to make a grand entrance!”
Justin Alexander comments:
Meghan Markle’s sense of style can be described as modern elegance. Since she will be marrying into the Royal family, we predict that on her wedding day she will wear something a bit more conservative while remaining true to her unique and captivating sense of style. This Justin Alexander collared shirt bodice with lace appliquéd skirt provide a refined elegance and modernity that is appropriate yet untraditional.“
