We caught up with Fross bride Hannah to find out all about her rustic wedding day at the Blackstock Country Estate in Sussex, wearing her gorgeous Stella York bridal gown!
How did your partner propose?
Jay took me on a surprise holiday for my birthday to Pefkos in Rhodes (our favourite destination) and I came up to the room and he had a trail of rose petals to the bed and on the bed spelled “will you merry me”! 😂The maids had spelt it wrong but of course I still said Yes!
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to the big day?
Just remember to enjoy the day and take it all in, it goes so quickly. Make sure you get a great photographer as they will capture moments you forgot!
How did you go about finding the perfect wedding dress?
I bought my first dress two years before the wedding. Advice don’t start weight training at the gym after you have ordered your dress! Keep squats to a minimum! Long story short the dress looked nothing on my new figure like I wanted so I found Fross had a flash sale and with only 8 weeks to go I needed to find something fast! My final dress was found by Millie and I couldn’t have imagined more.. thank you from start to finish you were all fantastic!
How many dresses did you try on before finding The One?
Before finding my final dress at floss we tried on around 6 gowns, Millie actually picked the final dress she knew what I wanted more than I did (until I tried it on of course and fell in love). The dress was by Stella York, and it was a classic, romantic lace backless wedding gown, with sexy side cut outs and a trumpet silhouette.
What made you fall in love with the dress you chose?
The beautiful full-length lace train and how comfortable it was!
What bridal accessories did you choose?
I bought my veil from Fross a simple cathedral ivory veil to compliment my amazing new dress.
Tell us about your wedding day
We had a fantastic day with all our family and friends! It was so emotional and special we wish we could do it all again.
What was your favourite moment from your big day?
It was all my favourite but walking down the aisle with my dad and meeting jay at the bottom, sharing tears and laughter during the ceremony was so special.
What theme did you pick for the wedding?
We had blush pinks to suit the venue and the rustic feel and silver for a touch of glam.
What advice would you give to other brides-to-be?
Don’t buy a dress and do too many squats afterwards!! No seriously just try to take in all of it, enjoy the planning and especially the day it flys by!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Dominican Republic and the weather was perfect there for the time of year! It was a beautiful and affordable honeymoon destination
