With their army of stylists, makeup artists and hairdressers, celebrities always manage to look on point. It’s no wonder then that so many of us turn to celebs for inspiration when picking an outfit - even when it comes to choosing our wedding dress.
While your budget and contacts may not extend to custom-made John Galliano, it’s still possible to achieve the same look as your favourite celeb but for a fraction of the price!
We look at back at some of the most popular celebrity brides of the last few years and show you how to get their look:
Our Favourite Celeb-approved Wedding Dress Styles
Out-there Bride: Sophie Turner
Game of Thrones star Sophie chose to turn up the volume for her wedding to Joe Jonas in this custom-made Louis Vuitton bridal gown. Featuring a classic chapel-length train, embellished full skirt and lace-edged veil, but with a plunge neck and keyhole back, we think the dress perfectly suits her strong sense of style.
Get the look: Go big or go home in Beauty by Justin Alexander or Clarise by Nicole Spose.
Alluring Bride: Hailey Bieber
For the first of her three bridal gowns, Hailey chose this off-the-shoulder, figure-hugging gown with a huge cascading train and veil by ultra-hip designer Virgil Abloh of Off-White.
Get the look: Just about anything from the Nicole Spose or Eddy K collections! Both designers really know how to show off a woman’s curves, with sensual silhouettes and detailed embroidery.
If you’re looking for a similar off-the-shoulder style, Selene by Watters is a sexy, statement dress for the bold modern bride.
Pretty Bride: Leona Lewis
Leona opted for a youthful, feminine bridal gown by Israeli designer Mira Zwillinger, featuring a lace-embellished bodice, spaghetti straps and simple tulle skirt. It’s simple, modern and fresh, and we love it.
Get the look: Florence by Justin Alexander and Pippa by Modeca are perfect for getting Leona’s look.
Sleek Bride: Heidi Klum
Most of the celeb brides we looked at for this blog opted to switch from a statement wedding dress to something more sleek and wearable after the ceremony. Heidi Klum’s silk halter neck style is perfect for dancing the night away in; something Meghan Markle knew all about when she also changed into a slinky number by Stella McCartney for her own reception.
Get the look: If your budget doesn’t stretch to multiple gowns, but you still want to capture a bit of Heidi and Meghan’s style, we reckon Dayton by Justin Alexander is about as close as you can get!
Modest Bride: Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra’s high neck, long-sleeved Ralph Lauren wedding dress looked modest at first glance, but it featured more than two million hand-sewn mother-of-pearl sequins - although it was her 75ft veil that really stole the show!
Get the look: If you’re looking for a gown with a bit more coverage up top, but without looking frumpy, check out Luciana by Nicole Spose, Moonlight by Aire Barcelona or Victoria by Eddy K.
Elegant Bride: Meghan Markle
Clean, classic and yet modern, Meghan's Givenchy wedding dress was so simple and yet had it all. If understated elegance is your thing, look for long-sleeved, fit-and-flare silhouettes - shapes that will flatter nearly every body type.
Get the look: Dixie and Esme by Modeca, and Vienna by Justin Alexander, all scream subtle sophistication.
Retro Bride: Keira Knightly
Keira Knightly is no slave to trends, which was obvious in her unusual choice of wedding dress. Her knee-length, off-white and strapless Chanel gown, worn with ballet pumps, had a ballerina-meets-indie look that suited her to a T.
In fact, Keira loved her dress so much she wore it again on a number of different occasions. How’s that for bang-for-your-buck?
Get the look: Love Keira’s retro vibe? Lilly by Justin Alexander is an off-white, tea-length gown that is sure to hit the spot.
Boho Bride: Kate Moss
Kate Moss has to be the undisputed queen of boho, and her custom-made, vintage-inspired wedding dress by John Galliano was totally on-brand.
Kate’s embroidered silk slip dress, with delicate embroidery and beading, is a surprisingly flattering and easy look to recreate.
Get the look: Hera by Watters is dreamy and ethereal, and looks killer paired with a floral headpiece. For Kate's vintage style, Galaxy by Aire Barcelona and Justin Alexander's Sophie both ooze 30s Hollywood glam.
In fact, our boho collection is full of dresses to help you achieve Kate’s boho bride look!
