Don’t get caught out by buying a fake online wedding dress!
An important part of the big day is getting the perfect wedding dress. One way a bride can purchase a dress is from an online retailer. This might seem like a great way to save money, but unfortunately many online retailers are just out there to scam you.
Thousands of brides are being scammed online every year from fraudsters selling fake wedding dresses. Many online companies are advertising images of beautiful dresses but, in reality, this is not always the dress you will be getting. You could be buying a low quality, cheap copy of the item. Don’t be fooled into purchasing a dress from these companies, if it really sounds too good to be true it normally is.
Fake wedding dress stories are getting far too common now, keep yourself safe by following these simple Fross tips:
Always think before you buy
Although very temping, most items sold online that are far cheaper than other reputable retailers can supply them for are usually nowhere near the same quality as the real item. The poor quality of these fake dresses is never done to the same standard as the original manufacturer. This is the most important garment of clothing you will ever buy, don’t chance it on a dress that is not going to make you feel special on your big day.
Check the seller reviews
Whenever buying anything online from someone you haven’t used before, always check reviews and research them thoroughly before exchanging your money. Most sellers have a least some reviews to check over, but you should also check third party sites, like forums, to see what other customers have to say about them. If you can’t find any information or you find negative information, you should stay clear. Beware a lot of fake websites can look very real, so make sure you do fully research that seller before making any purchase.
Don’t trust pictures
Online scammers find quality pictures of wedding dresses and display them on their website to draw you in. Just because the picture on the website looks beautiful doesn’t mean the dress will be. The pictures they use on their websites are from quality dress makers and of the amazing dresses those makers produce. These sellers don’t have the permission or capability to reproduce what you see in those images.
Nice at first, but not by the end of the day
Quality fabrics and great structure are the only things that will keep your gown looking fantastic ALL day. Unfortunately, the materials used in fake dresses are cheaper and don’t hold up to the whole day. Materials tear and catch much easier on cheaper fabric and the stitching doesn’t hold up as well either.
