Our annual bridal photoshoot is our chance to show off our new collection dresses and designers in a fun and creative way.
Finding the perfect venue is key to defining the mood of the photoshoot. In recent years we’ve opted for ethereal woodlands; romantic, historic manors and castles; and a high-fashion shoot on a yacht in Brighton Marina. However this year we wanted to do something completely different!
We wanted to find a location that you wouldn’t typically think of for wedding photography; somewhere totally unique, romantic yet non-traditional, and a little bit gritty.
We went on the hunt for a derelict building or a disused hospital like Hellingly, originally a mental asylum, but discovered it had been knocked down.
We eventually found Iridge Place in Etchingham through a company called The Shoot Factory. Originally a coach house, this Grade II listed building is now derelict and due to be demolished.
As soon as the models stepped onto set in their dresses, the choice of venue truly started to make sense. The grungy background, with peeling paint and exposed brick, really drew attention to delicate details such as lace and embroidery.
For this shoot, we wanted to feature some of our favourite pieces from our new collection; gowns we just know our customers will love.
The dresses we chose couldn’t be traditional or ‘classic’ gowns for this particular shoot; the venue demanded dresses with a bit of edge.
We’ve worked with Teri V Photography on a number of occasions, and Teri has photographed many weddings for our Sussex brides. Teri’s creative eye was able to spot the perfect locations around the venue to position our models.
We’re delighted with the outcome of the photoshoot, it was such a fun day and we can't wait to show our brides-to-be how amazing the dresses look in person!
